Sleep Hack #12: Magnesium
Magnesium is a wonderful mineral that most of us are deficient in. It plays a role in over 300 biochemical processes but some of the highlights are balancing blood sugar, relaxing muscles, reducing pain and calming the nervous system leading to better sleep. It does a lot which is why it is easy to become deficient.
We suggest starting with a high quality magnesium gel, which can be used topically- your body will only absorb what it needs. Otherwise a high quality supplement, but be mindful if your dose is too high it will cause stomach upsets.
